PROF. AA. DIPL. Lydia Haack, architect and urban planner BDA

Lydia Haack is an architect and city planner and since 2011 she has been a professor of building construction and design at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance. Together with her partner John Höpfner she runs the joint architectural firm Haack and Höpfner Architects in Munich.

She completed her studies in Munich and London and is a registered architect in Germany and Great Britain, which gives her a detailed knowledge of the differences in the field of training and everyday work of architects in these two country systems.

Since 2016 she has been the regional chair of the Association of German Architects in Bavaria and a member of the board of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects. In 2015 she was appointed to the design advisory board of the city of Bamberg and to the mobile design advisory board of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and has been the chairperson of the design advisory board of the city of Lindau since 2016.

In addition, she works as a judge in competition proceedings and as a lecturer and author. She is particularly interested in issues relating to the promotion of young people and qualitative and sustainable urban development.
